| Q: |
How often should I send a letter to my Legislators and where should I send them? |
| A: |
Once a month for the months of February, March, April, May and June would be wonderful. These letters should be sent to the office addresses in either Sacramento or Washington, D.C.
By the middle of May we ask you to send the June letter to the following address:
Legislators Name
Office held (i.e.59th Assembly)
P. O. Box 350
Apple Valley, CA 92307
Our intention is to personally deliver these letters to the respective Sacramento and Washington, D.C. offices early in June. More about how you might be a part of this later.

| Q: |
Why should I ask for a response to my letter? |
| A: |
Your letter can be an encouragement to the LEGISLATIVE PATRIOTS referred to in the Declaration of the California Tea Party.
Your objective in writing to the non-legislative patriots is to open a dialogue with that Legislator. Two of the five Legislators (U.S. Senators) at least need to know that you are very interested in their personal response to the concerns you express in your letter.
You are writing not only to express your concerns and intense feelings, but also to give them an opportunity to put into writing their point of view and rationale for their voting record. Their non-response down the road will become an important fact that could be shared with your friends and local newspaper.
Make a copy of the letters you send.
|
| Q: |
What if the Legislator does not respond to my letter? |
| A: |
Express your detailed concerns clearly and respectfully in the first letter you write. Make a copy of that letter to be included each time you write to that Legislator until you get a response.
If you get no response over the months between now and June you are establishing documentation that they apparently do not respond to mail from constituents who feel that Legislator does not adequately represent them.
Each time you write indicate that you have written previously and are including a copy of that letter or letters to jog their memory. Always be respectful in the tone of your letters.
